The PINTAR Fundraising drive involves two of our publications, "Malaysian Artbook for Children" and "Beating the Odds"

These books serve to inspire, motivate and encourage children to achieve more in their lives. The sales proceeds of these books will be channelled to fund the implementation of our National Programmes at all PINTAR schools nationwide.

'Beating The Odds'
'Beating The Odds' is a book featuring a compilation of inspiring stories by children from the under-served community who experience hardships in their journey to achieve their dreams. Besides inspiring stories by the children, seven well-known personalities also contributed their stories to the book. They include Tan Sri Nor Mohamed Yakcop, Tan Sri Dato' Seri Utama Arshad Ayub, Datin Paduka Marina Mahathir, Prof Dato’ Dr Jimmy Choo (OBE), Dato’ Bernard Chandran, Dato’ Nicol David and Datuk Lat. The bilingual publication, in both English and Bahasa Melayu, is targeted to readers aged 7 to 15 years. ‘Beating the Odds’ is sold at retail price RM 69.90 but purchase via website now and the book is yours for only RM65.00.

Malaysian Art Book for Children (MABC)
The Malaysian Art Book for Children (MABC), said to be the first of its kind in the country, is a book designed to get children to appreciate art and encourage them to expand their imagination. The MABC is a book that provides information on the local arts scene to young readers which features 32 Malaysian contemporary artworks by 27 local artists with beautiful reproductions of their artwork created from various media.

The book is accompanied by questions and prompts that aim to get readers thinking about the pieces, the subjects represented, the media used and lots more.

Among the artists featured in the book are Anthony Lau, Mad Anuar Ismail, Wong Hoy Cheong, Anurendra Jegadeva, Dzulkifli Buyong and Yee I-Lan. The book is targeted at children aged 11 onwards but will be of interest to readers of all ages. MABC is sold at retail price RM 69.90 but purchase via website now and the book is yours for only RM65.00.
