Aflateen Financial Literacy 2016 (Monitoring & Evaluation)

The Programme Development Management (PDM) team went to 11 PINTAR secondary schools to check on their progress under the AFLATEEN Programme Batch 2, a financial literacy programme that promotes a holistic approach to savings and encourages the development of a savings habit.

All 11 schools are currently in the midst of preparing for the upcoming Aflateen School Project Competition 2016 to see how well they fare in planning, budgeting, saving and spending responsibly.

PINTAR working alongside Asia Foundation had provided training for teachers of participating schools who, in turn, cascaded the knowledge and information received to their students to inspire, and empower them to lead responsible lives and become the agents of change. PINTAR is also responsible to monitor and evaluate the schools’ progress, and send periodic reports to The Asia Foundation.
