Business Unusual 2.0

As part of its fundraising efforts, a few prominent business leaders got together in a charity initiative organised by corporate lifestyle magazine, The Peak Malaysia, and Young Presidents’ Organisation, Malaysia Chapter, for PINTAR Foundation.
Approximately 200 guests – dignitaries, industry captains and business leaders – attended Business Unusual 2.0, an evening of networking and performances, in Kuala Lumpur on 18 February. Crown Prince of Selangor, Duli Yang Teramat Mulia Tengku Amir Shah Ibni Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah Alhaj graced the event.

Guests were entertained by the famed CEO rock band made up of Permodalan Nasional Berhad Group Chairman, Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Abdul Wahid bin Omar; Telekom Malaysia Berhad Group Chief Executive Officer, Tan Sri Zamzamzairani Mohd Isa; PEMANDU Chief Executive Officer, Dato’ Sri Idris Jala; RHB Banking Group, Group Managing Director / Group Chief Executive Officer, Dato’ Khairussaleh Ramli; and Primeworks Studio Sdn Bhd Chief Executive Officer, Datuk Ahmad Izham Omar.

Contributions, cash and in kind, amounted to almost RM250,000.00; collected through ticket sales, corporate contributions and personal contributions of guests at the event and friends of PINTAR. The funds raised will be used to fund PINTAR Foundation’s targeted intervention programmes, aimed at improving the education outcome of students from underperforming schools so that no Malaysian child is left behind as the country progresses towards socio-economic prosperity and development.

The event opened with a performance by The Stroller 2’s vocalist Rizal Zain, followed by a medley of songs by the CEO Rock Band. Comedian king and recently crowned ‘the funniest person in the world’ by the Laugh Factory, Harith Iskander, had the guests in stitches with his stand-up comedic performance.
