Danajamin100 Smart Learning Camp

The first activity for the Danajamin100 Leadership Programme in 2015 kicked off on 17 Mar. Thirty students from PINTAR secondary schools attended the three-day event at the El-Azzahar Camp in Banting, Selangor.

On the first day, the students went through a brief ice-breaking session among the mentors and the student participants. The mentors, who are Danajamin staff members got to know the students on a one-to-one basis. The mentors will be forging a close relationship with their mentees throughout the duration of the programme and will be guiding them across various aspects, from studying to dealing with peer pressure and the like. The students later played the “Knowing Me” games which were used to identify their learning styles.

This was followed by activities on How to Learn, How to Revise for SPM and Adopt, Apply and Adapt the next day. The third day was spent on motivational programmes to get the students better prepared for their SPM examinations.

The 30 students were selected to be part of the programme last year. In November, they attended a five-day stint at the Outward Bound School in Lumut, Perak that tested not only their physical and mental capacity, but cultivated their teamwork skills as well. The students are from five secondary schools in Negeri Sembilan and Selangor: SMK Munshi Abdullah, SMA Agama Repah, SMK Gombak Setia, SMK Pulau Indah and SMK Juasseh
