PINTAR-TNB Core Programme for Teachers (PCT) Training

Thirty-six teachers from 18 Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) adopted schools attended the PINTAR-TNB Core Programme for Teachers (PCT) training, from 21-22 May in Kuala Lumpur, which focused on teachers’ continuous professional development (CPD) and 21st century learning.

Among the training objectives were to deliver the importance of higher order thinking skills (HOTS); implement visible thinking in teachers, and utilize tools for developing creative thinking in curriculum.

During the session, the teachers were trained by Ms Elmarie Potgieter of Rite Education Consultancy on how to improve their teaching techniques and create a classroom culture where thinking routines and structures become habits that help develop independent thinking and learning. They were taught on various teaching tools, and gained insights on various activities that can be implemented in classroom teaching and used across different subjects.
