Leadership Programme for PINTAR School Leaders

Leadership Training for PINTAR School Leaders (LPPSL)

The Leadership Programme for PINTAR School Leaders (LPPSL) programme is a strategic capacity building programme that recognises that highly motivated and dedicated teaching workforce is key to creating positive impacts to schools and students alike

The programme equips school leaders with better skills to lead their respective schools towards effectiveness and excellence. School leaders are exposed to different leadership and management perspectives and experiences on leadership that will make them more aware of their role as change catalysts of their schools.

This programme was developed and introduced after findings from the PINTAR Focus Group Engagement in 2010 revealed that the right leadership was a fundamental criterion for effective management of PINTAR schools.

The LPPSL, in line with PINTAR's core module on "building capability and capacity" was first introduced in September 2011, with the participation of 51 head teachers, principals and senior assistants from 26 PINTAR schools across the country. As of 2013, three batches, involving 127 school leaders from 67 PINTAR schools nationwide, have participated and benefitted from this programme.
