Appointment of Dato’ Siti Nurhaliza as PINTAR Foundation Board of Trustee Member

KUALA LUMPUR, 13 March 2017 – PINTAR Foundation is pleased to announce the appointment of Malaysian famous songstress, Dato’ Siti Nurhaliza Tarudin, as our new Board of Trustee member.

Her passion and involvement in charitable and social work for the needy community is seen as a valuable criteria for PINTAR Foundation to appoint her as the latest member of the PINTAR Foundation Board of Trustees, which is made up of esteemed individuals with diverse experience, background and perspective to enable them to discharge their duties and responsibilities effectively.

"Dato' Siti Nurhaliza is an incredibly talented singer who has her own beauty line but still find time to do charity work. Her singing talent and pleasant personality has made her an idol to Malaysians especially the younger generation. And we hope that with Dato' Siti Nurhaliza on our Board of Trustees, she will be an inspiration to our PINTAR students to become responsible citizens based on our three key tenets, especially nurturing talent and advocating responsibility," said PINTAR Foundation Chairman, Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Utama Arshad Ayub.

Dato’ Siti has been involved in many notable charity and social work, constantly caring for the needy and concerned over women and child abuse. She has performed at numerous charity and fundraising events throughout the nation as well as delivering talks and conducting workshops.

PINTAR Foundation is a not-for-profit organisation, with a vision to inspire the young generation to become responsible citizens through the three key tenets of Promoting Intelligence, Nurturing Talent and Advocating Responsibility (acronym of PINTAR). To date, there are 504 PINTAR schools nationwide which have been adopted by 50 PINTAR members and partners; and more than 730,000 students and teachers have benefited from various PINTAR programmes and activities implemented throughout the country.
