BEST, which is the acronym for ‘Be an Excellent Student’ (in English), is an intervention programme that aims to improve the overall English proficiency of participating students, besides helping them to excel in the English subject in their SPM examination after completing the programme.

The BEST Project, fully funded by Direct English, is an initiative in response to one of the 11 shifts (i.e. Shift 2 of the Malaysia Education Blueprint) that calls for expansion of opportunities for greater exposure for students to be proficient in the English language.

The Programme will be implemented in 2 batches from 2018 to 2020, with 50 students participating in each batch. It will include an English Placement Test, 80 hours of tutorial classes, Direct English Learning Packs and Direct English certification upon completion of the programme.
